Chinese Rubbish Again
I purchased a mcculloch petrol strimmer trimmac model .last summer.it was used about twenty five days last year and once this year the drive rod which connect,s the engine to the blade holder has broken. Consequently it no longer works. Twenty six uses and no longer working

22 Problem Free Years.
Bought mine back in 1999, used every summer since then. Never fails to start. Only maintenance in that time was a new trimmer head because the plastic tapping head had worn out, and just replaced the fuel lines, which had gone hard. I always mix a 25:1 ratio fuel and oil so the engine always has plenty of lubricant. Wonder how many electric trimmers I would have gone through in 22 years!

Engine Cuts Out (5mins)
New Trimac followed instructions to the letter. Started well and stopped after five minutes work. Engine seemed and was very hot Removed spark plug which was very hot to touch. Checked fuel ratio as instructed re hot engine. Tried again ad it started for another 5 mins. Waited for it to cool and it stated again for 5mins. Left it in garage overnight but have not bothered to try again. Does it need "running in" as the parts are all new? Or have I got the constructed on "Monday Morning" strimmer. i.e. is it a bummer ? Thus far it seems to be a bad buy. Hope I am wrong because it theoretically is just the job for my needs.

Great Little Machine
Had my 210 for 12 years. Its had a very hard life and has never given any trouble till today. The small fuel pipe has perished not bad given that I never drain the fuel still has original plug in and regularly runs for 2-3 hours. Starting is dead easy prime her up full choke kill switch off the half choke kill switch on away it goes every time. Light to use with only one criticism. The case gets very hot after 2 hours but that's to be expected.it even stood up to my wife putting neat petrol in and running it 15 mins. Would we buy another most definitely brilliant little tool

Don't Buy
I purchased a McCullough Stimmer just coming in to last summer. This strimmer never started great and after only about a half hours light work it would start to rev really high, end result is an electrical part has gone in it and as it is just out of warranty the retailer will not cover the cost of this. This strimmer was only ever used for trimming the edges of my garden, would hate to see it if it had to do some heavier work. For your own sake...do not buy a McCullough Strimmers!!!

Great,light,easy
i have a 2003 model and it is fantastic its not as good as a bigger straight shaft but its good for light work around te garden would recomend this to people. mine never fails to start and needs very little mainenance. its well balenced to hold. it also sounds great at full rpm's. the only thing is it feels a little bit cheap but nothings broken on it yet still running original plug!!! which is great.

I've been running one of these for 10 years. Has a lot of ground covered. Never had a single problem with it.

Trimac 210
12 months engine fell off shaft
24 months fuel line perished
30 months primer jammed in perished
Any other make of strimmer would be an improvement
I Have yet again had to order parts for this strimmer which only gets used about 6 times a year, I would not recommend this manufacturer.
Agree, useless. Mine the head part melted, I believe this is a fault. I went back to McCulloch and they said its out of warranty and I can not buy a new part. Awful product, awful customer service.
Q&A
Where can I buy a NEW Trimmac 210 petrol trimmer?
Are the 210 strimmers two stroke?
There is no spark at plug, I have tried different plug but no spark. What could be the problem?
