Sainsbury offer us 5 different ranges and 7 different prices. I would assume that the ones marked British are probably from Ireland but that’s not a bad thing necessarily. Very little information generally continually states packed in the UK so why just not tell us where it is from if it is from England, which I doubt. then tell us it is. I wish the people that dream up these product descriptions would learn to worry more about the customer than the legal aspects.

My interpretation of the product description from their website . Tells you very little no country of origin again, but it is packed in the UK doesn’t say from any particular type or sex of animal. Once again plenty of room to manoeuvre. It carries the same description as all their other steaks so based on that it must be a good buy but be a little wary it does not say British in the title.

Comment, Why is it that supermarkets are so reluctant to tell you where the meat comes from surely they have nothing to hide. Do they? I would consider this steak good value for money. The Master butcher
