Good Points Great As A Snack But Can Also Be

Great with a variety of spreads, cheeses and other toppings

New York Bagels are my bagel of choice. I've found that non-brand bagels can be a little drier, plainer and less satisfying. However I haven't really come across any other brand bagels and so its difficult to compare. The bagel itself can be great simply toasted with butter and something a little different to a regular slice of toast. A bagel can be eaten at all times of day they can be treated with much more care than a regular sandwich. I really like the soft fluffy, yet quite dense texture of a toasted bagel. The plain bagel as opposed to the other flavors such as cinnamon and raison and multi-seed is astoundingly versatile. My favourite bagel topping is boursin, Philadelphia or some other kind of cream cheese, red pepper, rocket or some kind of green leaf seasoned with olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper. It is worth noting how well the bagel holds together with that level of saturation where regular bread may fall apart or become redundant. Bread that didn't do this could be a lot more expensive than a regular bagel. Its really hard to find good bread but New York Bagels make it easy to find a good bagel.
