As Good As The Expensive Custom Horns, But Not Res

As good as the expensive custom horns, but not respected as much as the Schmids and Paxmans. Plays just as well as though. the double leadpipe system eliminates the need to own a descant horn, unless you really specialize in that register playing all the time. It is best to use the Tuckwell mouthpiece with this horn since it was designed to fit the mouthpipe receiver. The H-104/H-105 are essentially the same instrument and have remarkable response. the bronze bell cannot be overblown and gives a warm sound unlike any other horn on the market. There is no need to invest $10,000.00 in an expensive custom horn because it will not be an improvement over what Holton is doing with this instrument. The bias against Holton is unfortunate because they make the best horns for the money.
