Hans Christian Creates A Musical Ode To Nanda Devi
HANS CHRISTIAN TAKES US ON A MUSICAL TRIP TO THE MYSTICAL MOUNTAIN NANDA DEVI
There is a new album out titled NANDA DEVI by the new age instrumentalist Hans Christian. This is an incredible recording. Perfect new age and gentle world-fusion recordings like this do not come around often enough. This deep, rich, gentle, generally-slow music takes the listener on a journey through Northern India to Nanda Devi, one of the tallest mountains in the world. Various tracks explore the sacredness of the place -- the surrounding valleys, the goddesses who protect the mountain, and the inner ascent (you can assume your spirit would rise in such a beautiful place).
This is ideal music for new age, instrumental, world music or acoustic music lovers. Christian plays a lot of cello and about two-dozen other instruments. The ones from India and surrounding countries give just the right world-music atmospheric edge to help describe with sound this majestic mountain and that region of the world. Often laid over a strings, synth or natural instrument drone, the lead instruments -- both Western and ethnic -- have a great rapport and dynamic interplay. This is one well worth checking out.
