City Weekend

I arrived in Shanghai about one year ago and, as a freshly arrived expat, I was in need of some entertainment: some drinks in a bar, some fun in a club, or just some interesting stuff to do while not spending my time in my company's China office.

Then I found this magazine in one of the best venues I've ever been to (an up-scale bar near the Bund): it is called City Weekend and it is a very useful and interesting bi-weekly magazine made by expats for expats.

The wealth of information contained in City Weekend is very up to date, and you can get to know what's going on in your city: events, dining and drinking deals, special offers. And the magazine is all free!

I also like that you can use their Website (www.cityweekend.com.cn) to publish your own announcements and ads, and since I am working for an event marketing company, I really appreciate being able to speak to expats with such an efficient channel.
