I Have Been In To Vw's Since My First Golf 1.3c Wh

I have been in to VW's since my first Golf 1.3c when I was 17. Now 13 years later I have a Mk4 Golf GTI 20v Turbo and I still feel as young as I did when first taking the 1.3 out all those years ago. The only difference is that my current golf is treated to VW services and the best of the best... the 1.3 was run on a 17 year old's budget :) I have had a selection of different golfs and GTI's in-between, and I owe a massive amount of thanks, as well as blame to Performance VW. Thanks for the advice, and blame for the reason I spend so much on my cars.

I have been getting this magazine for as long as I can remember, and there are so many reasons. to name a few, the feature cars are always special, but the photography, the themes, the typography really make it visually beautiful, and the descriptive content is so entertaining I struggle to put it down when I reach my stop on the train. It covers various projects, from low budget high effort examples all the way through to chequebook cars, but all originating from the same Wolfsburg stable. The variety of styles, colours, modifications, wheels and many other details is surprising every month. You think they would run short of features, but so strong is the VW community that it never dries up, and PVW does a great job of reporting the entire UK VW Scene. I have just finished reading the Feb 2010 edition, and spent the train journey adding all the dates of shows to my calendar, followed by scanning the advertisers for some new wheels which are long overdue, as well as reviewing some of the recent additions to the magazines staff cars that are updated every month. Featured this month was a mk3/mk4 golf turbo hybrid, the BEST mk2 1.8T I have ever seen, I have read that article twice... an Audi quatro and a Pink Corrado. If you have an interest in water-cooled and indeed the occasional air-cooled VW, outstanding alloy wheels, photo-chopped cars, new after-market parts, discussions, show reports and lots of VW stuff, you could do a lot worse than try this mag.

bad points: price... £4.50 is a lot for a magazine, but I subscribe so it is cheaper and delivered.
