L'Ortolan, Shinfield

Nominally a three course lunch this meal was was superbly expanded with several lovely "extras" such as nibbles with pre-lunch drinks', two mini courses that were not specified but which enhanced our dining enjoyably and finally beautifully made chocolates to accompany coffee.

The actual menu was very well balanced and although portions appeared on the small side initially both my wife and I agreed that in total we both felt that we had had a more than adequate lunch. This comes from a Carbohydrate addict!

Presentation and ingenuity of flavour combinations was all one would expect from what is obviously a very talented team.
