Avoid. What a waste of time and paper. Very clearly a self published story with a very warped view from a very confused writer.

The characters in this book that you're supposed to be rooting for are repulsive bullies.

The way the author writes about women, people of colour and her heavier set characters is disgusting, often piling on the negative descriptives unnecessarily.

I don't think the author understands how the economy works. Smuggling = good for it? Hmm

I keep this book in my toilet...but no one ever looks at it.

Don't waste your money.

Fabulous read from start, it is about Shem Smith who runs his criminal enterprise of smuggling in 1700. Its got revenge, guts and gorem gritty , language is in modern day so you can easily identify, page turnign and you will love it. Guy Ritchie , Poldark Sopranoes, Love/ Hate vibe.
