Horrible company. They never sent me my birthday code and after about 20 messages back and forth, throughout which they got the wrong end of the stick multiple times because they didn't even bother to read the message, they told me to wait 2 weeks after my birthday to 'wait and
Smooth Operator........
This is a Android based TV box (most use Android) it’s available with 2Gb of ram or 3Gb, wise to buy the 3Gb version as it will run smoother, not only with regard to the video, but also the navigation will operate faster.
There is an option for 16Gb or 32 Gb of memory, not really a requirement to have the 32Gb, as you can insert a micro SD card if you need more storage, or use a external USB hard drive.
It’s designed to run 4K video & films (if you can find any!) which it does faultlessly, you will of course need a fast Internet connection for this, about 25meg speed should be ok.
You can download many apps from the Google Play Store, some come pre-loaded, like U-Tube, BBC I Player & many more, you can also play lot’s of games on it.
It’s powered by a 8 core cpu which gives it the grunt to run any application smoothly & without issue, as long as you buy the 3Gb model.
It comes in a very nice Black box with a Gold band, a good remote control, a HDMI cable. Plus power supply.
You can subscribe to the likes of Netflix or Amazon, but I would advise not to go for the 4K content option as there is in general very little available at the moment & a good half of what’s on offer are old movies., best to sign up to the HD 1080p option.
Now it must be said that some of these boxes come with Kodi installed, now that’s fine & completely legal, Kodi is in general a movie player & is capable of playing just about any type of video file, you can of course download it yourself if you wish to.
Where the line is crossed is the application of third party add-on’s to Kodi that allow the viewing of video/movies from various sources that you would normally have to pay for.
It’s simple really if your viewing material that you should be paying for, like Sky Movies for example then your clearly braking the law, and I would strongly advise you not to do it!
The box it’s self is a great piece of kit & a useful addition to your TV, basically it can turn any TV into a Smart TV, as long as your set have a HDMI input.
