Just Fabulous

Always been a fan of Nikon and this DSLR gets its absolutely rights yet again. The accessories I got with the camera were top class and the camera itself was unbelievable anyways. Keep it up Nikon!!

Fabulous Camera, The Picture Quality Is Startlingly Good

The Nikon D5200 is one of the latest generation of Nikon cameras with a 24 megapixel sensor that delivers remarkable results. Don't take my word for it, the highly respected DXO Mark team measured the picture quality of the D5200 and found it to be the highest picture quality of any DX-size sensor camera ever!

The DXO Mark score is based on three scientific measurements, not just anybody's random feelings about it. The score shows that the D5200 is really sharp, but more than that, it also has great dynamic range - it captures bright areas and deep shadows really well - and great colour depth. I find this is true in practice. In pictures captured by the D5200, shadows show detail, like the human eye sees, rather than just being blank black shadows like lesser cameras show. Highlights also contain detail rather than just being featureless burnt-out white areas. This is amazing - better than any digital camera five years ago at any price, and far better than any film camera ever.

The overall result is that your pictures have a remarkable "life" to them that lesser cameras cannot match.

The autofocus of the D5200 is particularly good, it works in quite low light and it captures fast sports really well.

The handling is fine, everything works well, and I have found my D5200 to be totally reliable despite hard use.

I am actually quite staggered how good this camera is compared to cameras just a few years ago.

(One slight disadvantage is that the model below it, the D3200, is cheaper and almost as good. The D3200's imagine quality is about 3% less according to DXO, but of course in reality, often you cannot see that 3% difference. The D3200's autofocus is not quite as good at capturing fast action. But apart from that, the D3200 is a great camera at a great price. However, if you are prepared to pay the extra, the D5200 is just that bit better again.)

Overall, I highly recommend the D5200, it is a marvellous camera.

I wanted to upgrade my nikon 3100, so started looking on line. I decided on this camera as I have a couple of nikon lenses, so wanted to keep those. The cheapest I found was,PC World. Then I found eGlobal Digital Store, £50. 00 cheaper, so I took a chance. I ordered on the Friday ( at the time I didn't realise it was coming from Hong Kong) but needn't have worried, it was in my hands Monday morning.

Really happy with the service, the delivery was superb, ( free delivery )

I would recommend this seller to other people.
