Good Quality Product - Pointless Extras

This is a premium dashcam for recording traffic incidents in the car. There are two versions - one with a permanant self adhesive mount, and the other with a suction mount which can be removed (this is the one I bought).

The camera is easy to set up and very easy to use. It starts recoring automatically when you apply power, so nothing to worry about.

Quality of video and sound is very good full HD. Clear enough to make out number plates day or night.

It records for 9 hours on a 64Gb micro SD card. Only 8 Gb is supplied which gives just over an hour. There is a red button on the side which when pressed write protects the current video in the event of an incident. The only snag is the button is on the left, which is the opposite side to the driver when the camera is up near the rear view mirror. The unit records GPS position and your speed as well.

There are some extra 'features' which are a total and complete waste of time such as lane departure, crash detection, and proximity alarm (to other vehicles). If activated this features cause the unit to beep constantly every couple of seconds for absolutely no reason. These must be turned off as they are an inaccurate and annoying distraction to safe driving.
