Lifesaver!

This is just what I needed.. a memory card reader! I always lose my camera wire and this does the job, it's quick and easy to use. Especially as i'm not that great with technology.

Thanks so much for your great customer service too.

Jessops Multi-card Reader

Jessops have made this device too small. It is difficult to insert cards -especially CF and the pins are made of a metal which is VERY easily bent. This device is a definite retrograde step from their previous model which was far more robust. Considering it was £15 - same price as the old version I think it is poor value. I also suspect it of trashing a SD card - haven't proved it yet but I fairly certain it's not the camera!

Overheated Whilst Reading Cf Card With Smoke And B

Overheated whilst reading CF card with smoke and blackening around the label. Will be returning to the store today and requesting a full refund.

The staff in store told me the reader operated at full USB 2.0 speed, my experince with the reader tells me otherwise as it took a long period of time to transfer images from my Sandisk extreme CF cards. I think I'll get a reader made by one of the card manufacturers.

Neat, Compact Unit With Built-in Usb Connector. U

Neat, compact unit with built-in USB connector. Used within a few hours of purchase for file transfer from CompactFlash card, and became so hot under the CF port that the label blistered and smoke appeared. I intend to return the unit for a replacement, but I will check the new unit carefully as it is not yet clear whether this is a rogue sample or a design fault. I strongly recommend caution in using this device.

First One One I Had The Pins Were Bent On The Sd C

First one one I had the pins were bent on the SD card port. I was accused of damaging it myself when returning reader. Careful examination of the second one showed me how vulnerable the pins are. It is notchy and cards do not push in easily like other readers I have used. Strongly recommend you avoid it. Imagine if you damaged your SD card before you had down loaded any special pictures.

Worked Fine For A Few Months Then Suddenly Started

Worked fine for a few months then suddenly started corrupting any compact flash card that I put in it. Luckily I managed to salvage the pics, and then I tested the cards with my old reader - no problems. Cheap tat. Don't buy.

This Small Card Reader Usually Costs Only £1

This small card reader usually costs only £14 and takes pretty much every card available. Software is not needed. You simply plug it into a USB port on the computer and insert a memory card. The cards will appear in 'my computer' as external drives. The reader is capable of high speed USB transfer and works on both PC and Mac. It works instantly and you don't require any more than that.
