They refuse to replace it and it must go away for repair.
I'll show the consumer rights act below:
Section 23: Right to repair or replacement
132.This section details a consumer’s right to insist on repair or replacement of faulty goods, the cost of which must be borne by the trader. This includes the trader bearing any costs involved in the removal of an installed item and reinstallation of a replacement. A replacement would usually need to be identical, that is of the same make and model and if the goods were bought new then the replacement would need to be new.
133.Once the consumer has opted for a repair or replacement of the goods, he or she may not ask for the other of these, or exercise the short-term right to reject, without first allowing the trader a reasonable time to complete that chosen remedy. However, if waiting a reasonable time would cause the consumer significant inconvenience then the consumer can pursue an alternative remedy without doing so.
Absolutely Disgusting
Where to even begin, this place is absolutely disgusting, I bought a subwoofer from them for a large amount of money, after finding out that it didn’t work with my car I returned the product brand new, this was okay and they accepted the return, due to the size of the product, I could find a courier that would take it, so I called them and agreed that I could return it to there store for a processing fee, I agreed and didn’t mind, no amount for the fee was discussed on the phone and I was told that the person in the shop would sort that out, I returned the product to the store like planned, the person in the shop never said anything about a processing fee, I have then recieved the refund to find that I had been charged £75 fee to return it which is absolutely absurd, I have called the company to try and sort it out with them to which I was met with owner, the owner of this company is really really rude, he was swearing on the phone, he was getting very aggressive and talking over me when I was talking, he was lying about what we had discussed and what was agreed, and then he ultimately hung up the phone on me. Please whatever you do, DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, they are not pleasant and will rip you off and they will take advantage of you, there are much better company’s out there that you can use so do not use this one as the way they treat their customers is vile. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever been met with

Ordered a fitting kit on the 11th... Today is now the `13th, still showing as 'processing'.
Called on the 12th asking when it would be dispatched. Got a lady on the phone who couldnt care less telling me "looks all good".... what is all good?? I asked when it was going to be dispatched, she said she would ask "the team" and make sure it was dispatched..... one day later still no movement.
Ordered Cancelled. 1st and last time I will use this outfit

Disgusting Customer Service!
Disgusting customer service.
Ordered a package with this company which first of all arrived later than agreed along with the adapter mounts being the wrong ones for the car.
When the speakers were professionally fitted (only a few days ago) it became apparent that they were of awful quality. I made contact with this company to ask for an exchange but due to the delays in them sending and dealing with this order it’s gone over the 14 days and now they are washing their hands of the situation.
It’s not even as if I wanted a refund... all I actually wanted was speakers that sounds half decent.
I highly recommend not to shop with this company as they really don’t care about their customers and seem to be all about the bottom line.
I Ordered 3 Way Speakers And Got 2 Way Speakers In
I ordered 3 way speakers and got 2 way speakers instead. Nobody would bother to let me know they're sending replacement speakers due to unavailability they just sent it anyway. Obviously I sent them back which costed me over £26 and still got charged of £12.49 for the returned item not being in original package. Finally I am getting the £50 speakers I originally wanted after nearly 4 weeks for total cost of nearly £90. Ridiculous!!! They did not send the items I ordered and they still charged me 25% of the speakers' price. How is that fair??!! They should gave me 25% off at the first place for not sending the items I purchased. Rubbish!!!!
Buyer Beware
BEWARE. (I dealt with a customer service rep called "Dips")
I was offered a Pioneer ex-display head unit at £669. Just £79 cheaper than new retail price (with only half warranty and lots of disclaimers that the unit may have scratches, parts missing etc). I asked for information on the unit, has it been repaired or just unwanted by the customer etc. 4 attempts would not get me an answer. Extremely evasive and it felt very much like they were hiding something so I even said that was how it sounded and they still didn't answer, confirming my suspicion in my view. A company this size not keeping sales records or details of why a unit was returned? No, something not right there. BEWARE! Ask questions, and see how honest you think they are being with you BEFORE you buy.
Burst Into Flames!!
Do not order from here, bought a double din unit off them for over £500 and it suddenly ignighted into flames 6 months after installation. When complained they didn't want to know at all. Absolutely disgusting company!!! Complaints don't get back to you and you have to ring, their after sales is pathetic. I'd suggest you go elsewhere.
Spend A Little Extra And Go Somewhere That Values You
Please don’t waste your hard earned money by giving it to this company. They kept telling me an item was on back order for three weeks, one item would come I then they would sell it while they waited for the other. They then offered me some of their own branded items as an “upgrade” because it cost more. Once delivered, they were fault and didn’t work! When I requested they be replaced by the original items I wanted, they said they won’t replace them with anything else because they’re now used, and insisted that it’s probably down to my wiring because apparently car audio is a specialist topic, and doesn’t abide by the regular principles of electricity and needs to be done by a specialist.
Please think twice and go for a company with a better reputation for customer service. You won’t get it from these Muppets.
Disgraceful Customer Service By Car Audio Centre
I bought a Pioneer Carplay audio unit from the Car Audio Centre / In Phase International (at their NEC Gadget Show stand) plus the recommended wiring for my vehicle which turned out to have not, one but SIX sporadic faults, five of which I caught on video as proof for the Car Audio Centre to see.
As soon as I emailed the Car Audio Centre wishing to exercise my short term right to reject faulty goods I was met with rude customer service who suggested I take my car to a third party over three hours away and have to pay for them to fix it. I was clear in wanting a refund as after finding six faults you end up with zero faith in the product and I needed to look at a different brand.
The Car Audio Centre then tried to add extortionate charges, stating I’d have to pay £30 (and then £75) if I was to return it and their 24/48hr bench test did not turn up the faults. After consulting someone who works within the automotive wiring industry and handles testing on a day to day basis for advice as I trust him more than these glorified Halford’s installers.
Due to the advice, I declined this bench test as it may find simple faults but it does not guarantee that it will find sporadic faults. Unfortunately it is not as simple as yes or no but the people at the Car Audio Centre do not seem to understand this. Not to mention that it would not have been in the same conditions as it was in my car, with my specific audio set up and quite frankly I don’t trust them one bit to be honest after their dodgy Car Audio Centre customer service.
The fact that it is a new item, notified well within 14 days let alone 30 days, with proof of faults there shouldn’t be a question and I should have got a refund when I first asked for it instead of being bullied by the Car Audio Centre with hidden fees.
Go elsewhere, it may be a tenner more but it will be worth your money if you unfortunately end up with Car Audio Centre faulty goods. It’s not worth the headache!
Avoid Car Audio Centre like the plague.
