For Me The Grand Hotel Pinetamare Was A Nightmare
For me the Grand Hotel Pinetamare was a nightmare area and hotel combo. I would not recommend to anyone.

The Area Around The Hotel Is Truly Awful With Dere
The area around the hotel is truly awful with derelict land and buildings. You can see the potential if someone had a bulldozer. The other thing at present is the state of the rubbish collections and general environment.
Offset this with the tidy hotel and relative convenience in catching a half hour bus trip to Naples and Caserta and organised trips to Amalfi, Sorrento etc and you can enjoy yourselves. It is an eye opening experience. Stay only a week!
Walk round to Holiday Inn off the heated track a little and experience a better location though more costly.

Been A Nice Hotel At One Time But In A Dodgy Area
Been a nice hotel at one time but in a dodgy area which is pretty run down. Food was poor and although it was buffet style, meat dishes often ran out. Air conditioning in room didn't work and despite complaints, the hotel was unable to get it fixed.
I wouldn't go back.

Grand Hotel Pinetamare - Just Stayed Here With Fri
Grand Hotel Pinetamare - Just stayed here with friends on an all inclusive deal. Friendly staff, superb rooms, food acceptable and plenty of it. Rooms have balcony and sea view and the hotel's right on the beach. The three included trips were fantastic and there was even more to do if only we had the time. This is the same region as Sorrento, just the other side of the Bay and Naples. The weather and sights are the same but Pinetamare is only a small place, so so are the prices. We paid less fully inclusive (full board and all drinks 8 am to midnight and three full excursions) than we would have doe for half board in a moderate 3 star in Sorrento.
We'll certainly be back.
