Scala Apartments, Naxos

Scala Apartments is a beautifully quiet and relaxing family-run place, set 100 metres up a small lane with only ten apartments, nice dining area and sea views in Kastraki (20 mins from Naxos town). If you're looking for a not-so-touristy part of Naxos then Kastraki is a good bet. The quiet beach and small shop are ten minutes walk with two tavernas close by. It's very clean and family friendly. Furthermore, the home-cooked dinners are excellent and nicely priced. Naturally, a car is an advantage if you want to see more of the island, although a transfer from the port is no problem for Scala's owners.

There is one key point that needs highlighting. The hospitality Nikos, Evangelia and their family provided was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They went far beyond expectation and made our stay very special. We recommend Scala Apartments unreservedly.
