Disgusting Service

This company deserves less than a star for their terrible service. I do not recommend to anyone looking for a good ferry experience. Their customer service is even worse. They have such incompetent staff like "his manager". I've lost out on so much because of their lack of inefficiency and running of a terrible service. Don't say I didn't warn you guys.

Do Not Use - Go Direct To The Ferry Companies

Never use this service.

They offer an amendment service that doesn't work.

Then when you contact customer service, they advise you cant, however when contacting the actual ferry company, they advise that direct ferries has to do this. They then ignore your emails.

Their cancellation policy on their website advises that if you request a cancellation, they will advise you how much you will be refunded to ensure you want to proceed.

They didnt do that. They just cancelled my ticket and I lost almost $40 and have no ticket now.

Any attempts to explain or reason with them only ended in them making countless excuses about refunds and different types. Cheats!!

Dear Sir/Madan,

To best honest I’m very disappointed with this situation, as you can see in my Attachment document, I booked my trip in 17 August 2023 and then suddenly my trip got cancel due to online technical issue and unable to confirm the booking. I already speak with few of Your CS at first he said the money will be refunded 3-5 days and I wait for 1 weeks and I checked with my bank account and there’s not I got from you, 2nd CS says you guys haven’t sent the money and I have to wait for another 10 days and until now which I wait for almost 1 month and half, I haven’t get any refund from you ( I already Checked to my bank account, they haven’t get anything from you ) does anyone can help me to refund the money. I really need it for support my family.

Absolutely Awful!

First overcharged by more than €100,- then there is no one to answer my complaint. The repeated question about how to contact the complaint department is completely ignored.

I recommend NO ONE to use this site!

Outrageous!

Appalling customer service from Direct Ferries. There is no mobile number, and an extremely slow response time via their enquiry form.

I had changed my booking to a new date and time, received an email confirmation from Direct Ferries and the booking had amended via the website. What Direct Ferries failed to do was contact Brittany Ferries to inform them of the change. I had arrived at the Port for an overnight ferry with 2 children and NO booking. Outrageous!

I then had to pay extra to even get onto the ferry, without a cabin may I add, which I had originally booked and paid for through Direct Ferries.

The service from the beginning was awful, and I strongly advise to NOT use Direct Ferries, I will never use their service EVER again!

Deceived By Ferry Company

I booked a flexi ticket through direct ferries. They are an agent. I normally book directly with the ferry company. When i tried to change my flexi booking they tried to charge me the same price as the return cost originally paid!!! always book through the ferry operator. These people at direct ferries are robbers & charlatans. no trust. I will be refunded come hell or high water.

Trick Me Into Paying Twice For Changed Booking.

Sham & Bad correspondance and response only at night, lots of emails from many agents to make changes. I paid $38 and changed my returned ferry tickets in January to April 2023 due to I had Covid at the time. I had to change my dates again due to Covid again grrr. Through correspondance of emails I get a message stating my ferry was sailed in January due to I did not pay $227 to change my ferry dates to April. After sending proof of payments and screenshots of confirmed dates, invoice changed for my ferry Direct Ferries tell me they sent me the wrong payment amount of $38 it should have been $227. I emailed and said that is your mistake not mine, I would like a full refund of my $500 I previously paid and the $38, they would only refund the $38 would not take responsibility of there mistake. I recommend to go directly through NZ Interislander or Bluebridge to book online. Direct Ferries is based in London.

I 100% agree with all of the bad reviews on here. If you are ever in a situation with them where you need help or to amend and it is not possible online then your money is lost.

There is no customer support and communication is non existent! There is no phone number and no email

Mistake Booking With These Gangsters!

I contacted Direct ferries to change a trip I had made from 29th July to 1st August. They said that it would be €54.I paid the fee and didn't get a confirmation email. Emailed them then got confirmation email. Went to Cherbourg on 1st but no booking. Then got email stating no change was made and no fee paid? Had to pay again for another ticket. Emailed them to complain but surprise surprise, no reply. How are they still in business! Avoid at all cost.

Anyone have contact details for direct ferries that works at the weekend? There is one but you only have it if you have a ticket. My parents are in France, Dad's had a heart attack and mum wants me to change the booking. She's stressed out, doesn't have info with her and doesn't want to leave Dad too get it so I am struggling to find a way to do it. Can anyone help?
