Very Good Experience

Clear and friendly negotiation, thorough explanation of the conditions of possible insurance. Acceptance of our insurance without pressure.

The car matched our choice. It was in reasonably good condition, perfectly clean.

The agent pushed us to get a good look at the car and take pictures of all the scratches and imperfections to avoid any disagreements when returning it.

The return was completely uneventful.

They Will Keep Your Money

I requested a refund as the third party they sent me too did not accept progress. They told me I would have to use theirs and it would be $35 day. I requested a rental for a lil over a week. Discovercars said I would have to provide documentation and I did that I was covered during that time. During their investigation they noted that in a recording confirm that you had the insurance and that the agent didn't even wanted to look at it. They still denied my refund because the car I sent showed my insurance card expiring 2 days after pick up. ( I have been with progressive since 2007 and it auto renews every 6 months) I then provided the updated card since I do not a new one until the end of the other one. And they still said no. I even said it wouldn’t mater if it said it expired in 20 years they refused to see it cause it was not an insurance company they work with. This company is a joke. Don’t use them.

Booked A Car With Avis Cardiff, Who Declined My Li

Booked a car with Avis Cardiff, who declined my licence but have provided notification twice that they are happy for me to have a refund. Discover car representatives lie, saying they have contacted Avis Cardiff when they have not. She also says it is for the car hire company to refubd, another lie, they attempted to when i was there, it is for Discover Cars to refubd my £103. There are reviews of others losing much more than myself. I will keep posting here and other sites until i am refubded. I am poor, cannot afford a car, nor to throw £103 away.

Renting in treviso.

First: problem at the desk office of the rent car, they didnt want to use my debit card. So I called discovery cars call center, in 2 minutes they were talking with the guy from the office-so very prompt and with succes.

2.after the return of the car, of course the rental company invented a scrach, and a fine of 330€ was issued. Again, discovery cars refund my money-I had the full coverage.

So, I was sceptic with discovery cars, but they really solve my problems as O wished to. In the future, this is the way I'm renting cars-full coverage via discovery cars.

Found By Kayak, Easy Booking

I'd not heard of Discover Cars before making this easy booking for a car hire in Pisa. Found it on Kayak. Thought it was a car-hire company but it's actually a car-hire comparison site. Anyway, glad that we were able to save lots of money compared with a company I'd hired a car from directly at London Luton airport.

At first I'd chosen an apparently slightly lower-class vehicle but Discover Cars presented a better option at only a slightly higher cost so I went for that.

Am hoping that I won't be faced with any hidden extra costs or be forced to buy the all-risk insurance.

Owning a Dutch driving licence, I read that I should present an International licence. Do I really need this?

Thank You Discover Cars!

The support was outstanding. When our car broke down, the rental company immediately charged €2000 instead of deducting it from our €3000 deposit. Despite this, we paid the amount, received a replacement car, and within 24 hours, Discovery Cars refunded the full sum to my bank account. They even covered the cost of the taxi and the fuel difference between the broken car and its replacement.

Everything Went Fairly Smoothly, Could Be Improved

I do not like the fact that we cannot include a second driver on the reservation and that is left to the front desk at the time of pick-up; you really do not know how much it is going to cost and once you are at the desk you do not have much of an option if they want to overcharge you.

Easy To Use.

I searched a lot of sites and this is the one I settled with. I would like to see a category which would let you select the type of fuel you would prefer the car to run on instead of giving you choices you do not want.

Has anyone found someone in customer support that is able to assist with an existing case? I am having an issue filing a claim and it appears no one at Discover cars is available to engage or escalate at this point. We had a not so great experience with the rental car vendor (America Cars in Mexico) and they will not release the final invoice for the damage of a popped tire. They do not deny that the damage occurred, or that we were covered by Discover Cars, and I do have the receipt and bank account statement. They just are not providing the final invoice. They are claiming that this is our own fault for booking with Discover Cars as opposed to purchasing insurance directly from them. Discover Cars will not refund without the final invoice. Has anyone encountered this before? Any tips to resolve? Seems odd that Discover Cars would partner with a vendor that will not cooperate in getting them what they need to provide a customer what they paid for (insurance that covers a flat).

Hi! I have not credit card, only debit card! If they do not accept it, I cancel the reservation. I read they don't give money back but give credit points. This is true? What can I do?

You may have to accept credit points for another journey if you cancel. You always have to use a credit card when it comes to rental

Sometimes the price differential relates to whether the car can be picked up and dropped off rom the airport or not. Discovery do provide this from one of the car parks at Faro which to me is worth paying a bit extra over those that drive you off to some pick up point in Faro.

Second driver prices differs from region and car rental agency, when selecting desired location and period of travel, you are able to see the prices under each car "Rate & Car details".

I have never heard of this company. The prices seem to good. Has anyone used them in Orlando? How did you get to the their offices? They are around 6 miles from the airport. Any feed back will be appreciated.
