We rented a car from these in Sept 2018. They weren't at the airport to meet us and when they did turn up we had a clapped out filthy focus to transfer to office! which was a shack!.On the journey we were delighted to be told we've been upgraded to the focus we were currently in. After a lot of disagreeing we had to take as there was no other car left. The car was a death trap, stuggled up hills in 2nd gear,aircon busted, no button on hand break just a wire, petrol gauge faulty, wipers in shreds, bald tyre and rotton inside. Not happy at all. Do not use these.

We booked a car for the duration from Oasis car hire from Larnaca, we was collected from the airport in something that was at one point a people carrier maybe 20yrs ago and clear the poor car had not had a good life, we was driven 10 minutes up the road to a shack behind herts rentals ( Sunday late afternoon ) no one around and only 1 car the Nissan quashqui we had booked! It was horrendous, with the worry that we would be left in the middle of seemed like knowhere if we declined the car, we reluctantly took the car,

The drivers seat was so badly worn the padding and the fabric had disappeared. The passenger safety belt had to be manually retracted, it was so filthy it had layers of a greasy residue over all of the controls, the head lights had bleached yellow, once we got to the motorway and started to pick up speed realised we couldn't go over 55mph before it started to vibrate, it was far from a pleasant expieriance

Just returned from a lovely week in Cyprus, All was great except for the car hire company " OASIS CAR RENTAL " in Larnaca. Had to wait 30 minutes at the airport for the mini bus came to collect us. The "depot " is approx 3 miles from the airport out in the countryside. It is unmanned most of the time anyway. The car was a Nissan Tiida, which although in reasonable condition, the exhaust was blowing and after bringing to the attention of the staff member, just said was okay !! On our return date, we had to wait nearly an hour before anyone showed up at the "depot". I have used numerous car rental companies around the world and this one must rate as the most disorganised ones of all. Would certainly not use again. This is no reflection on ECONOMY CAR HIRE with who I booked, these are 5*****

We hired a car through Oasis Car Rentals in Larnaca in October 2014 but when we arrived at the airport, we were picked up by Thrifty Car Rentals. They took us to their offices in the middle of nowhere and asked us to hand over our credit card to pay the 650 euros excess. When we originally booked through Oasis, we hired the car purely on the basis that accidental damage waiver was included so we had nothing to pay. When we queried this, we were told they have to hire the car from us as Oasis do not actually have any cars and sub-contract the work to them. When we asked where their offices were so we can get a refund, they pointed to a shed at the back of the garden and said they are closed but do not have any cars. We asked for a refund and were told, we will have to wait until we went back to England to claim it back from Oasis (there was no chance of getting a refund bearing in mind they do not exist!). We had no choice but to hire the car from Thrifty as we were in the middle of nowhere and had no form of transport. We originally hired a small economical car through Economy Cars on the internet but were given a large old battered car which had more scratches than a cat's scratch post. They also demanded 20 euros to be taken to the airport out of hours. We were there at 9.30pm but their out of hours were after midnight! When we took the car back, the amount of fuel was exactly the same as when given to us. They demanded we pay 15 euros or take the car to the petrol station and put 5 euros in. Basically, they had us by the throat as there was no petrol station nearby. This is when we had enough! We gave them the 5 euros but they would not accept this as they wanted 15 euros - basically they wanted to pocket the 10 euros and put 5 euros in the car. The fuel tank was exactly on the halfway mark as it was when we were given the car. However, they wanted the line to go past the halfway mark! Can you believe it! Please also bear in mind that you inspect the car thoroughly for every single scratch as they tried to pin certain scratches on us but my partner is very shrewd and inspected the car thoroughly as he did not trust them. Please be warned that the car you choose is not the car you will get. The car we had cost us so much fuel whereas we ordered a small economical car. Again, we were told we had no choice as this was the only car available to us. Please therefore avoid booking through Oasis or Thrifty or be prepared to get your credit card out.

OASIS CAR RENTAL PAPHOS . Hired a small car from Oasis through Economy car hire , were picked up at paphos airport by oasis in a small minibus late at night , my wife hurt her foot on something getting in as there was no interior lights , then driven like it was stolen we were taken to the corner of a field with a portacabin to pick up our car , this turns out to be a 10 ish year old nissan primera complete with a fullset of wheel trims from various makes of car , stained thread bare interior seatbelts made from sandpaper .not quite the chevrolet spark (or similar) that was booked. We had no choice but to drive away . All the way to Polis with steamed up windows that no mater whatbuttons we pressed would clear . We put up with the drone from the rear wheel bearings for a week then the power steering started making a noise so we phoned economy and they arranged for it to be replaced .this was an equally old ford fiesta with equally poor aircon ,this was better but not what you expect from a decent hire car company . DONT DO OASIS CAR HIRE .....ECONOMY STOP GIVING BAD CARS FROM SHABBY COMPANIES TO UNSUSPECTING HOLIDAYMAKERS DROP THIS LOT BEFORE THE BANGERS HURT SOMEONE.SEVERELY ANNOYED
