Cornish Treat

I have been to the site several times and I enjoy the peace and beautiful countryside and beaches that it offers. You have Padstow and Newquay to your North or South for tourist excursions by bus or car or local walking is great too. The site has no bar or entertainment but a short stroll into Mawgan Porth provides you with pub, shops, restaurants and the beach. I also like the fact that after 10.30 the site goes quiet as the noise curfew is strictly imposed, this makes it great for families who want to get there children to sleep (or indeed up in the morning) or for adults who just want to sit out and listen to the countryside at night.

Sun Haven Valley Holiday Park Lived Up To All Our

Sun Haven Valley Holiday Park lived up to all our expectations and more besides. We've been to parks before where they promise silence at a set time but this time the site fulfilled the promise.

We couldn't believe quite how central we were to most places in Cornwall for example The Eden Project we only 40 minutes away and the site information room suggested places we wouldn't have thought of but thoroughly enjoyed.

Unfortunatley during our holiday the weather wasn't great, not the fault of the site but they thought to provide regular weather updates without being asked. We were also given suggestions of wet weather ideas and cinema times, nothing seemed too much trouble for this family orientated holiday site.

We took advantage of their special offer to book for next year at this years prices whilst on site in August.

Staying In Late July We Loved That The Site Was We

Staying in late July we loved that the site was well controlled. Silence at 10.30pm actually works on this site & the owners was quite abrupt with anyone who was noisy or out or order - the 2 couples who woke us up when they came back at 3am were ordered off the site before 9am. The toilet block is a little dated but kept very clean and the facilities are very good - campers fridge, ice-pack freezers, microwaves(20p), pizza oven, laundry, inernet computers & general wi-fi across the site ( no TV signals though - regulars seem to take those portable satellite dishes). The walk through the woods to the beach is pleasant & much safer than the road but took us 20 mins with a 5 year old & all the beach clobber. There were very few teenagers for summer holidays & the children roamed quite safely on the empty pitches around us. No food on site, but good pubs & other options nearby. A little on the expensive side but we'd go again. Mawgan Porth beach is great
