Concerto Is Not Meant For Everyone
i had been skating on grafs skates at the beginning of my skating career. later switched to Gam and had a bad experience with the fitting. I just bought a pair of Edea concerto and let me say that first of all the height difference inside the skates is so high that you are forced to be on the ball of your feet at all times. not very good if you are the kind of skater who likes to roll into your jumps from a clean edge to your toe pick. You are too pitched forward and the timing of your jumps will change. It is a very comfortable boot but it has not been easy to adjust to them. It is also a lower cut boot and if you are used to a higher boot then that is a problem too. I cannot even change the height on the heel as it is plastic. traditional soles are made out of leather and can be sanded off or adjusted but not the edeas.

Best Boots Ever!
My son was 8 when he got these and has been wearing them for just over a year now and they were awesome from day one. Just a matter of getting used to the lower centre of gravity than his previous SP Teris. They didn't need breaking in and so far we haven't had one blister! These boots are for wide feet. My son flys in them and they have got him his axel and most of his doubles. Can't recommend them enough!

Switched From Harlick And I Love Them
I am an adult skater that has been in harlick since I was a child. I am doing my doubles again and they feel effortless now. I am pretty amazed. They feel very different though. You cant tie them as tight on the top or else you cant bend.

If You Are Looking For A Foot Injury, Try Those Boots
my kid has skated and trained in different types of skates: never any foot injury. After skating in the all-too-stiff boot EDEA ICEFLY after over 13months, she decided to move down one strength of boot as the icefly very long to break-in (MORE THAN 2MONTHS). The specs say on website that the concerto senior ones good for doubles, triples and quad jumps!!!! so, we bought those and 2months later, foot injury which doctor measured to kind of very close to tendenitis. so, here goes the loss: no competition, doctor bills, time and no training.
When we asked the Edea people to take those back , they told us to mail those boots back to them, they will see what's wrong with them!!!!!! knowing very well competition is in a month; and that they get your foot so painful; LISTEN THEY STILL WANT YOU TO TRY THEM ONE MORE TIME BY TELLING YOU BRING THEM IN, WE WILL SEE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM!!!
GET IT GUYS.... NEVER GO FOR THESE... REALLY ZERO CUSHIONING ZERO COMFORT IN THOSE BOOTS... THOUSE STIFF ENOUGH FOR LANDING TRIPLE JUMPS --A PLASTIC JUNK BOOT TO MAKE YOU SUFFER.
I know this is an old post but have to say -Cant agree with you. My daughter used Ridell but has a large foot for age and Ridell became to heavy for the muscle strength at that age we decided on a lighter skate Edea Ice Fly- We had postal problems in the country and while waiting for the new skates she was off ice with no skates for 3 weeks. We received them a week before competition. She skated 3 sessions in them before competition and landed all her jumps - Skating in was effortless no blisters no burning feet. I believe you should follow the guidelines and every person suits a different skate according to their need and level. The wrong decision is a costly affair.
You really should have done your homework. The ICEFLY is a very stiff boot as it is designed for Professionals. Had you researched Edea's web site you would have seen this and probabaly opted for their cheaper Preludo or Overture boot which are not as stiff.
It really is a shame your blaming Edea for your own fault. My daughter has used Edea skates throughout her career and they are much better and last longer than the likes of Risport.
I totally agree. My friend in New Jersey too had to get rid of them. She too had foot tendenitis. What a boot!!! New technology/improved plexiglass plastic kind of. Hoope you learned your lesson . Amy
