Had My Yamaha Xtx 660 For Just On 6months Now And

Had my Yamaha XTX 660 for just on 6months now and clocked up 15,000k's and its rarely missed a beat. Only mod is staintune exhaust and had the mixtures richened by yam dealer. I've just returned from a 2000k trip from Adelaide to Melbourne and back via great ocean road and everyone agreed that considering the punishment it had dished up to it it really punched above its weight (which is pretty heavy!!) I'm now looking to upgrade to KTM 690 Duke however due only to its lack of power which, coupled with my own spritely 130kgs, makes cruzing over 125km/h just cruel and a sprocket change would just kill what acceleration its got. Realisticly its a seriously good bike but i would recommend people ignore the factory 10000k service intervals and change that oil more regularly cause it gets pretty mucky.

The Yamaha Xtx 660 Is A Brilliant Bike, I Have Had

The Yamaha XTX 660 is a brilliant Bike, I have had mine for about 5 months and after two months I set about some improvements. As a standard bike it is ok but the fueling and emisions seem to strangle the engine. My advice and although it costs a few quid, its worth every penny, is to by the Akrapovic Titanium exhaust system and add a BMC race air filter and a Powercommander. All easily fitted at home. This turns the mild mannered XT into a little monster and doubles the fun factor. Go on give it a try :-)

Being 160 Odd Kg Its A Heavy Bike In This Category

Being 160 odd kg its a heavy bike in this category. Also having 48hp standard doesnt really say much about its capability. However if someong tells you its not the right combination to have huge amounts of fun on, let them take it for a ride and when your down the pub later on listen and laugh at them when they try and tell you how much fun this bike is... then agree and kindly let them know its their shout.

The Yahama Xtx Is A Bike You Just Cant Come Off Un

The Yahama xtx is a bike you just cant come off until you drive into a solid object I have had mine in every odd angle and yet the bike still wont bite back yamaha done a great job with the xtx even with its dated swingarm but witch they have improved in the new model, so if you can find your self a road with lots of bends wet patchs and some gravel trown in grow your self a pair and go for it and dont be scared and when you get out the other side felling like superman youl find your self laughing at sports bikes and never going back.

After A 12 Hundred Mile Hike From Stoke To John O'

After a 12 hundred mile hike from stoke to John O'Groats and back, the bike did it with ease. It a good, sound all round bike, cheap to insure and to keep on the road. The only reason I would part with it would be for the XTZ 660.

Real Fun Bike. Every Person Who Likes Bikes Should

Real fun bike. every person who likes bikes should have one of those in the garage. Tires sticks to the road perfectly. Power is more then enough to outrun the trafic, suspension and high ground clearance gives you a possibility enjoy even worst roads. high seat alows you to see over all the cars and make quick decisions where and how to go in heavy trafic.

Perfect urban bike. no trafic, just pleasure.

I Bought One And I Can Tell You Its The Best Thing

I bought one and I can tell you its the best thing I have bought with my money... ever. its reliable practicle and most of all its a ball to ride. doesnt matter if im riding it to uni or to the motorbikes at phillip island, this bike is a winner. People say the looks are not the best but throw a set of pipes on it like I have and you wont be able to count the amount of positive things people say about it. they look and go alot better in the flesh than on paper.
