Not Good

Bought this bike from Direct Bikes, the starter went on fire the first time I used it, phoned them and they said they would send me a new one, this was in 2018 - I am still waiting,

the exhaust screws keep snapping, the back bin light always blow (buy LED ones, they work really Good)

I would not buy from direct bikes website unless you don't want any after care from them.

Avoid Avoid Avoid Buy Japanese

The old model is not euro 4 compliant after 6 months I've yet to be able to register for road use , I've spent £100's on trailer hire visits to vosa and my local motorcycle shop trying to get it registered ,

Be a good garden ornament but no good for road commuting which is what I purchased it for , the registration pack supplied is not worth the paper its written on and the English is extremely poor and badly copied , I ridden it about 3 miles chain thrown off and tensioners stripped locking back wheel, exhaust blows and head barrel crankcase leaking oil on vertical join , feels like big ends are going despite keeping below half throttle for running in ,

It Ok Not Good And Not Bad

It good for wat you pay cheep engine is ok had no problems after 3 mile had to go aroun the bike and tighten all the bolts

And again after 100 mile it's a nice bike not powerful just right it's a big looking bike it looks like a 600 cc I would like a 250 cc

But I car to find one

One last thing there's a lot of vibration when you drive it

Poor Quality

Had a Pioneer Nevada 2014 for 2 years. 1.6k miles when sold it. Several issues within the time. Poor quality parts, soft steel, cheap plastic. The only was good I was able to repair the bike myself.

Parts replaced :

Chain, speedometer cable, ignition, sprockets ,fuel meter and sensor, Chinese bolts and nuts coz too soft , exhaust studs, brake lever. Tank/clock Cover cracked coz vibrations.

China Parts Ltd - Rip Off

Would just like to warn people of china parts ltd who also trade under D&J motorcycles and have connections with uk probike ltd

I bought a pioneer nirvada that was advertised by china parts ltd as bran new road legal learner

I was in correspondence with china parts ltd

I

arranged the viewing with china parts ltd at there address in stanly china parts house

As far as I new I was buying it from china parts ltd

When the bike arrived it was less than road worthy in faked it was completely illegal and was not the same bike I viewed

The headlight were not alined correctly (shone in the air dazzling oncoming drivers)

• the baffles were loose causing a rattle

• left foot fest was loose and fell off while riding

• the exhaust valves where faulty causing poor compression and poor running eventually leading to the bike not starting

When these problems were reported to china parts ltd they informed there company was D&J motorcycles

There company director who claimed he was just the mechanic collected the bike for repairs. He cut the left exhaust in half welded the baffles back then welded the pipe back together, this repair held for just over a week, his weld came apart while I was riding causing the exhaust to trail along the road which could have cause a fatal accident. As for the other problems they refused to carry them out calming they were not reported.

My Pioneer Nevada 125

I bought one of these of a friend for 280 on a 63 plate (2013) never drove a geared bike before so took a day or 2 to learn as I'm a quick learner. Very comfortable bike had about 77 out of it feels much bigger than a 125 the engine is sound will run for miles on end with no problems mine has done about 4 thousand miles and is good the problems lie in the exhaust bolts which are terrible and will snap and come loose took me 3 days to drill them out and replace them with steel bolts and the kickstart snapped (cheap alli) the gear rod and lever vibrate a lot and the bar snaps all the time so have replaced it twice in the 2 months I've had it but everything else on the bike is perfect great value for money but if you know what your doing on bikes these little problems ain't such a big deal

Q&A

Bikesandrockers

What does the phone symbol mean on the clock?

Douggelliott

Has anyone had problem with chrome finish on the tank instrument cover? After purchasing a new cover after 7 months the chrome fell off, ruining the finish. The seller refused to replace it after ignoring many emails I sent.

MandyMarieKent

To be honest quality of the chrome on these Chinese bikes is very poor compered with Japanese bikes.

Make sure you use a good chrome cleaner and protector and during the winter months wipe chrome over with a lightly oiled rag.

toto76

What is the best way to keep the exhaust bolts in place? What is the phone sign on the bike and the light that keeps flashing mean? My clutch bolt keeps coming loose, what can I do to stop this?

MandyMarieKent

If you mean the nuts that clamp the exhaust to the cylinder head then use a split washer and 2 nuts. These bikes are high revving and the vibration is also high so keep an eye on all nuts and bolts once a week.

papasprog

I'm a sprog when it comes to bikes and fell in love with the Cruiser style 125cc. Does anyone have a good suggestion of a decent sprog safe machine as most reviews I've read on the pioneer are really quite scary?

MandyMarieKent

I owned a Pioneer Navada 125cc and I have to say it never let me down. Started first and every time and although not the fastest of 125's make a good town bike. I would never call the Pioneer scary. Its a Chinese bike and cheap to buy and maintain. You have to remember that the build quality is not great compered with Japanese bikes.

My suggestion would be buy the the Navada, it looks great an.d run to ride. If you want speed then go for Japanese.
