You Won’t Get Your Deposit Back

DON’T hire through them!!!! They won’t return your deposit, or respond to any of your emails or live chats. It’s such a shame, we had such a wonderful holiday, and now that has been ruined by this. It’s been almost a month since my deposit has been due, and still we have to wait. DO NOT HIRE FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!

Still haven't got my £1250 deposit back 6 weeks after we returned. They'll try and slap excess charges on you all over the place, tell you the van was returned late when it wasn't.

I've just been hung up on by their customer service people and told I have to email them to get my deposit back.

Planning to start a claim with the credit card company to get this back.

Awful customer service - avoid at all cost.

Avoid Like The Plague. Van Wasn't In Particularly

Avoid like the plague.

Van wasn't in particularly good condition.

They charged us when we returned the van because they said the van wasn't clean whereas it was actually cleaner than when we got it.

It took us 4 months to get the £1200 deposit back and we only got it because we paid the cleaning charge.

Very difficult to communicate with and to find anyone who takes any responsibility.

Will never deal with them again and recommend that you don't.

Will Not Return Your Deposit - Do Not Use

The company does not precharge your card for the deposit but takes the full amount, claiming in their T&Cs that it will be returned after 28 working days. Having returned the vehicle damage free and signed to confirm this, I phoned a week before my deposit was due to be returned to ensure it would be and was reassured that this would take place. Having read reviews it seems that I am now experiencing their usual practice, whereby they continually deny you have contacted them and ensure you that the money will be repaid - which it never is. I am into the hundreds now paid in interest and claiming the money back through my credit card.

Never get to speak to any one, I have spent hours on the phone getting no where.

Late refund of deposit. I feel if I had not phoned, (again) I would not have received it.

Illegal Operation Do Not Trust

Do not hire a motorhome from this company.

TandC's only materialise after deposit paid, then they say deposit not refundable.

Here is what I found.

A whole list of things you are not insured for even if you take out the excess waiver.

1) This is the corker, you aren't insured for reversing the vehicle. So how exactly are you meant to park it then. Sounds illegal to me, what if someone walks behind you and you hit them. You end up in court for insufficient insurance, not them.

2) Windscreen gets a crack in it you have to pay for it to be repaired. Every comprehensive motor insurance I ever took out covered windscreens.

3) Brake a wing mirror and there goes another £350.

4) Overhead damage you aren't insured if you hit a low tree branch.

5) If the table brakes they charge £199.

6) They have a tracker in it, your speed hits 75, or it thinks you exceed 75 then you get automatic £75 fine. Those trackers are not calibrated for that, my company use them and sometimes we have had some very wacky speeds coming from it, even if it were reasonably accurate, it is not a speed gatso camera. I don't condone speeding, but this is just an excuse to charge you.

I actually wondered what you were insured for, so I emailed for clarification the same evening I organised the hire.

I like to give them a chance to explain in case I mis understood.

They didn't bother to respond, so after the weekend I phoned them, they said somebody will call back, next morning somebody did and they confirmed you are not insured to reverse the vehicle.

I then said I want to cancel, and I want the £199 deposit refunded as they had not supplied me with the TandC's before I paid it.

The deposit is non refundable, but they were quite happy to cancel the booking.

I intend to get my credit card company to take this up and get my money back that way.

Anyone from trading standards reading this should investigate this company. Renting out a vehicle without it meeting the minimum legal insurance requirements should not be allowed to trade at all.

Deposit Hunt

Don't take my word for it - search on the Guardian Newspaper; Motorhomes and deposits not being returned. Outragegous behaviour, really unfair - I ended up getting charged for Table Brackets that I felt I didn't Break - but had no way to Prove (looked like a consumable to me!). They charged me for a Sat Nav - I never had, but in desperation to get my deposit back - I had to accept their statement, their Figure and hope to be refunded after 10 weeks, I also was charged £50 interest by my Credit Card compnay! RUNAWAY!!!!

Motorholme/ Unbeatable Hire - Run Away

Deposit policy highly dodgy.

There is no justification to hold a renters deposit for 28 days.

If a vehicle is returned with no damage then an instant refund is due - should take no more than 3 days.

Rented 3 times because they were cheap and convenient and we had always eventually received the deposit - well after the 28 days and after much chasing. Last rental there were things wrong with the vehicle and they were completely useless at helping out.

Researched multiple alternative companies this year and NOONE has a similar policy.

I would NOT recommend this company and STRONGLY advise you to run away if you are thinking of hiring from them.

I returned the Motorhome 04/04/2018 and still waiting for my deposit, I am now worried as I did not read the reviews before hiring and it would seem that some people have not received a refund for months. I have written a formal complaint today and depending on the result will have to seek legal advice. Please think carefully before hiring from this company.

Cancel Within 24hrs For A Full Refund! Yeah Right!

My husband booked a motorhome for a weekend and unfortunately my mother and father in law had already booked elsewhere. My husband phoned back within 30 mins of the booking to cancel and it was an automated message. He sent an email indicating that he was cancelling within the 24hr period stated. Suffice to say they have said they will only refund £190 of the £250 he paid. Absolutely shocking.....give them nothing.
