This Review Is For The 2.0sxt Version. I Know You
This review is for the 2.0sxt version. I know you either love US cars/design/plastic or you hate them and prefer European/Japanese models either way you can't complain about value for money or bold exterior looks which still get glances a year on (I still think these are rare cars) and now Fiat have agreed not to sell dodge in the UK they can only get rarer or limited used, so I guess values should once depreciated stay pretty stable.
This car engine (petrol version) is sourced from Mitsubishi/Hyundai and is also known as the World engine (VVT)and being from Asia is pretty robust and reliable. While the diesel is sourced from VW (CRD) so although its badged as a dodge it has robust well tried and tested engines and mcpherson struts for european roads. All in all it is a firm but not too firm ride and handles pot holes easily compared to alot of cars I have driven. People have this image of not being able to take corners in US cars but this handles as well as most Euro cars i have been in and only and only when you push hard the ESP/traction (Standard) cuts in. But who takes bends at 70mph anyway?? So i'm happy with the ride and handling definately.
The interior is very bright and maybe not as finished off as alot of cars but it is hard wearing plastic that hasn't had a scratch on it since i got it it's so tough you just wipe it down!
The bonus is you get (sxt) so much free stuff..a 20gb storage facility my gig music multimedia centre HUD with live traffic info Sat nav (day/night screen)/hands free bluetooth/voice recognition/dvd player!/FMradio/pictures/usb to upload and an aux for ipod! Best radio I have ever had and it is easy to use and comes with Boston Audio amplifier(250w) and 6 large speakers and the sound is as good as any Audi/merc I have been in over the years. Electric movable heated front seats and full breathable leather. Cruise control. ESP/Traction. Computer and tire pressure system. onboard compass. loads of 12v sockets. Fridge (4 cans cooled via air con climate) rear seat arm rest/cup holder/ Rear spoiler. Large 19" alloys -the list goes on.. Overall very pleased so far and no reliabilty issues.

If You Want A Car Thats Well Built.. With A L
If you want a car thats well built..
with a large and comfortable cabin..
And a car with beautiful looks...
Get a vauxhall Insignia!!!
The dodge really isnt a great car.. its suspension is too stiff!.. the build quality is terrible And DEAR GOD! its an ugly pig.
It has got some good points though. The fuel economy (diesel) Is quite impressive and it comes with lots of kit even a HUD (head up display if your willing to fork out some extra hard earned cash) theres tyre pressure monitors for each wheel.. heated seat's.. and a fridge in the dash!
But its just such a tacky car.. The engine for instance.. (the actually quite impressive bit) Isnt actually Dodge.. ITS VOLKSWAGEN! The dashboard feels like its made out of mcdonalds happymeal toy plastic! and the rear spoiler is hollow! Overral a very unimpressive car
