I Have Had My Ldv For 4 Years Now And She Has Rarl
I have had my Ldv for 4 years now and she has rarley let me down. When i brought the van it was a lot less money than a ford transit but the ldv after 1996 has a transit engine and gearbox which is very reliably. the crewcab has so much room for seating or tools. the only bad points are the engine on mine has no glow plugs which makes it hard to start in very cold weather and that is is not build for speed i think the van is great and will be getting another.
Having no glow plugs is great, as it is a Direct injection engine so needs no glowplugs- less to wrong. The reason yours wasn't starting is a poor connection or flat/bad battery. The other plus point of a DI engine is that if the cambelt goes it won't take the whole engine with it and costs the same to fix as replace.
