Bridgestone Battlax BT016

They seem to be good middle of the road tyres. They don't really excell at anything. Got really good wear out of the rear tyre though. They are not bad in the wet either. Only bad thing I could say about them is the front end grip at full lean is not confidence inspiring. I have had a couple of near wash outs on the twisties. If you are an average rider looking for a value for money tyre then they are a solid choice. If (like me), you like to throw your bike into the bends then best go for something grippier. These tyres came with the bike new (2010 ZX6R). If I had a choice I would never have fitted them. Try the 2ct's if you want something grippier for around the same money and they'll give you just as much longivity too.

I tried these on a GSXR 750 K7 this Summer. They provided excellent all round grip. I ride very hard and found the rear wore evenly on both center and edges. However the front edges wore out in quick time. The middle was perfect but no rubber on edges. So I carried on pushing thinking i had a good slick and the front almost washed out on a high speed posing overtaking maneuver. So DONT run it low, be warned. These seem to be a one to one ratio now, when it use to be two fronts to one rear. Still, a good boot!

Ive got Bridgestone BT016 tyres fitted to my GSXR 750 K8 although i find the rear fantastic, the front didnt live up to expectations.

now ordered new tyres bring on the Bridgestone BT 003RS and i cant wait.

Very good grip, much superior handling to the BTo14. Am very happy with these Bridgestone Battlax BT016 tyres. Considered AV55 but they were more expensive and needed ordering. Am glad i trusted these new tyres without any detailed reviews!
