Nationwide Are Sly And Devious - I Agree With The

Nationwide are sly and devious - I agree with the previous comments in that they have in effect stolen money from my children and their accounts. When I checked the interest rates I was totally shocked and withdrew/closed the accounts there and then. I was told that I should regularly ask what the interest rate was and it was not up to them to tell me. What a misnamed product "Smart to Save" - not with Nationwide though.

However, why did they try to sell me home insurance, mortgages etc etc everytime I went into a branch - I had not asked yet they were able to tell me this.

AWFUL COMPANY - avoid them completely, you will find a far better place for your or your children's savings.

Nationwide Does Not Alert Of Rate Drops. Have Robb

Nationwide does not alert of rate drops. Have robbed my children of interest - wicked. I have complained first step. Now will complain to their Head Office - will wait 65 days and then complain to Financial Ombudsman.

Shockingly Bad Service, Queues Out Of The Door Mos

Shockingly bad service, queues out of the door most days because not enough tills to cope with customers. No privacy on front desk despite them dealing with sensitive information - everyone overhears your problems/complaints and personal information. Have never felt like the problems were being taken seriously when reported anyway.

We have 2 children's accounts with them - despite filling in the forms 3 times, in branch each time (so wasn't lost in the post) - they still haven't added me to my step sons account so I cannot do anything with it. Each time my husband has taken time off work to specially go into branch. It also took 5 YEARS before they stopped taxing my step son - from birth!

We both have time off work coming up so will be closing these accounts and opening them somewhere else with a half decent interest rate and hopefully half decent customer service.

I Opened An 'smart To Save Account' For My Childre

I OPENED AN 'SMART TO SAVE ACCOUNT' FOR MY CHILDREN - AS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF TEACHING THEM HOW TO SAVE - NATIONWIDE ARE NOW GIVING A MERE 0.75 WHEN ITS POSSIBLE TO GET ABT 3.00 ELSEWHERE - I FEEL THAT THEY HAVE ROBBED THE CHILDRENS INVESTMENT - IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED THE 'NOT TO SMART TO SAVE' account instead of the 'Smart to Save Account' - thought we were suposed to be educationing parents and children to save

Quick Get Your Money Out Of The Nationwide - Inter

Quick get your money out of the Nationwide - interest rates on every account starts with 0.! The childrens saver in particular which my son has held for 10 years has dropped from 5% to 0.75.. you dont have to look far for a much better rate. Very sneaky of the Nationwide - also take note Dunfermline BS customers!

I havelock smart accounts in my children's and my name jointly, with not much in them as they are adult now, the accounts are still active, if I deposit money in these accounts for my children for when I get old can I still access the money or leave it to my children when I die, will it be classed as their money,or mine will I need to take my name off the account?
