What Bank Cannot Do An Bank Transfer

My Husband and myself both had Nationwide ISA's, when they matured we wanted to take some money out of each and reinvest the rest.

The required forms were both sent off i the same envelope we were rung up to agree how we would be paid, it transpired that actually there was only one option by Cheque, what bank CANNOT MANAGE TO DO AN BANK TRANSFER ridiculous in this day and age ad hugely inconvenient.

We had to accept payment by cheque but then only one cheque arrived and one set of paperwork had been lost even though Nationwide had confirmed receipt by phone.

Had to redo paperwork and one month down the line I am still waiting to get the money into may account.

I think I would prefer to use a Bank capable of using up to date methods of payment. Had I been told of their repayment methods I may have chosen an alternate ISA.

Terrible, I Sent Off My Aplication For My Cash Isa

terrible, I sent off my aplication for my cash isa off some 7 weeks ago but have had nothing back?.

I have called numerous times but Nationwide have said it is being processed, that was until today when i have been told it has been cancelled for some reason, nice of them to inform me.

The call center is a nightmare to get through it took over 1 hour to speak to someone and then they said again they would look into it.

No wonder Nationwide has lost loads of custmers, i have been with them for some 25 years, not no more i am not happy with the service at all it has really gone down hill.

Natwest was my previous isa account at least they answer the phone within 5 calls to the customers.

I asked Nationwide to transfer my ISA from other provider on 3rd April and other provider closed my account and sent the cheque to Nationwide on 7th of May but until now it still hasn't transfered my money yet. The ISA call centre number is hard to get through to.

I Would Recommend The Nationwide Instant Access Is

I would recommend the Nationwide Instant Access ISA as an essential way to save. Everyone pays tax on their earnings and purchases, a cash ISA means that, at least, interest on some savings can be tax-free.

The ISA account is branch based with a passbook, and can be opened with as little as £1. Interest is currently 4%, which is much higher than most ordinary branch-based accounts, and the chancellor can't get his hands on a penny! That includes amounts up to £3000 - the current maximum amount that can be paid into a cash ISA.

Access is easy, money can be added or withdrawn from any Nationwide Building Society branch, and offices are in most towns. The account balance can also be viewed over the internet and funds transferred when you have registered.

The account has the government CAT standard which means no charges, easy access and fair interest rates.

Savers who have been with the Nationwide for over three years can invest in The Member's ISA bond, which pays 4.3% gross interest. Terms are more restrictive though, for example, only one withdrawal is allowed each year, and you have to give 60 days notice.

Because of the great tax-free interest rate and easy access to the account, I think the Instant Access ISA is a great way to save. Although if wishing to include shares in an ISA, a maxi ISA is the way to go.
