The clothes are really cheap for a reason (what WAS I thinking in ordering? you've got to hand it to them they take great pictures and introduce lots of tempting deals). The quality is very poor with obvious quick and non-secure stitching. The fabrics are awful - feel horrible and all man-made scratchy and plasticy looking. The sizings are way off and there are no free returns! Never again.

I ordered three extra large jumpers from Shein.co.uk on Christmas day, as they promoted themselves heavily via Google and prices seemed reasonable.

It cost me roughly £30 for three jumpers.

I received my order a few weeks later - it took them a long time to send it - then when I went to put one of the jumpers on, I could barely get it on. I checked the tag. It said "extra large". It fit like a small or medium. I am a UK size 14-16 and I normally wear either Large or Extra large, but never bigger. So this size should have fit fine, if anything, should have been a bit large. But it was far too small. It even looked tiny.

Annoyed, I emailed the company and told them I needed to return the jumpers as the sizing was all wrong. They told me I'd have to pay for return postage, even though they advertise Free return postage for first order. So I had to pay over £8 to return the items to them - in BELGIUM.

I did some research, this company are Chinese but have an office in Belgium. They are not UK based. And I believe their sizing is Chinese, not western. Yet they do not indicate this anywhere on their website. In fact, they have a sizing guide on their website and it's based on UK sizing.

I then read other reviews on other review websites and many other customers had said the same thing about them - clothing was far too small. Same complaints about having to pay return postage, not getting a refund at all or only getting a partial refund when they should have gotten a full refund. Terrible.

I emailed them proof of postage to show I returned the items. They claim they didn't get it. I sent it again. They then asked me for "proof" that the items sent me were actually tagged as Extra large. Are they kidding?? I wrote them back, and basically said "are you kidding me?" My order invoice says Extra Large on all three items. So why are they asking for proof of the tagging? I told them this was outrageous. They then blocked my email address as I started getting automated replies from another Postmaster address - and all in Chinese. So I sent it from another email address. It went through. That's how I know I was blocked.

I still have not been refunded. I have warned them that if I don't get a refund soon, that I will report them.

I cannot believe any company would do this, and I am angry that they've gotten away with this for so long given the date of the other reviews about them doing the same to people.

Always, always, check "company information" on any new website before you purchase. Never assume a company is UK based or USA based. And always try to read reviews before you purchase. I failed to do this now I've learned my lesson.

AVOID

Ordered a zip up jacket for my 12 year old daughter. Usual stuff "Massive reduction " $$$ OFF next purchase , collect valuable points etc etc.

Well they sure talk a good deal - HOWEVER ( surprise surprise ) it didn't quite work out that way.

The garment was very poor quality for the money and sizing was totally ridiculous. A large was more like a very small.

Asked for return/refund - no response whatsoever !

OK ! You have my money , can't waste any more time with SEIN , I will donate the item to the local charity shop.
