Thermofocus Non Contact Thermometer

We bought this thermometer primarily to monitor our young childs temperature.

The idea of having a non-contact device was good - as we often needed to check her temperature at night when she was asleep.

Great idea, but the product is awful.

We followed the instructions, watched the (boringly long) DVD instructions and then tried to use it.

Each time we used it we got a different reading - really quite different.

Also, you have to line up two red dots to get the most accurate reading - however - when the child (or indeed anyone) is awake its very difficult to get them to be 100% still to get the dots lined up.

Even when you do get them perfectly lined up the temperatures it gives you are, frankly, garbage!

Each time they are so radically different that they're just not reliable.

So, we have a very expensive, fancy, hi-tech thermometer which gives us zero confidence in its readings - hence we have now bought a new Braun in ear thermometer which is much easier to use and much, much more reliable.

What a waste of money - avoid making the same mistake
