Svan High Chair

Having had our house invaded with kids toys (as Im sure everyone does) we were looking for a highchair which had a mixture of looking a bit more 'grown up' (ie not yet another piece of plastic in the sitting room!) but was comfortable and practical for our baby.

Having researched a lot we chose the Svan high chair and I must say we're very, very happy with it. It looks like a nice piece of furniture rather than a horrible piece of tat stuck in the corner of your room. The covers are easy to change / wash / remove, its fully adjustable and, importantly, the first time we used it our daughter absolutely loved it and sat in her new chair looking really proud of herself.

It also can be used as a 'normal' chair for your kids as they grow up apparenlty - ours isnt old enough to test this out yet, but I like the concept that it will have some longevity.

The only negative comment I think I would say about it is the price. Its much more expensive than the usual run of the mill high chairs, but I do think you get what you pay for in this instance, and if your budget stretches to it and you want a piece of furniture in your house rather than another piece of kids gear Id definitely say consider it

We were bought the svan high chair as a gift, thought we chose this particular highchair. It is quite expensive, though not as expensive as some of the new egg shaped highchairs, but we really wanted a highchair that matched our light wood furniture and that wasn't a big plastic monstrosity.From day one we absolutely loved it! It comes as flat pack but is sooo easy to assemble and all the parts are so strong looking and sturdy that I've got no doubts about the quality.So many people have commented on what a lovely neat highchair it is and how little space it takes up. It even has the ability eventually to become an adult chair.We've never had any problems with it and our son seemed to be really comfortable in it (we found him asleep in it quite a few times!)We've now put it away ready for our second baby due in October and both feel that it was a really worthwhile purchase and will prove to be great value for money!
