So Much Better Than Strips
The last time I waxed I used soft wax strips and ended with with hardly any hair removed as well as irritated skin. I almost went for a salon wax as I wasn't sure if I could do a bikini wax on my own but after seeing the prices I thought that I'd investigate the best home wax kits.
Most sites seemed to say that hard wax was the way to go so at Superdrug I bought a tub of Nad’s Brazilian & Bikini Wax.
The warming of the wax in the microwave took much longer than the booklet said but I stuck to the instructions and only reheated for 10 secs at a time.
I got a towel and added one of the landing strip patterns as a guide (you can have a triangle, heart, lightening bolt or traditional landing strip) and away I went.
I'm not going to lie. It's pretty messy as you mix the warm wax. I'd really recommend only doing very small bits of wax at a time as it's less painful and always remember to pull off when the wax is still slightly tacky as the harder it gets the more painful it felt.
All in all not a bad first go at hard wax hair removal. I wasn't left with a huge amount of redness and only had to tweezer a few stubborn hairs that the wax missed.
