!st Class Service No Problem At All .
I spoke with Sky today and she was very good and communicated well. She explained all that was necessary and I understood everything involved. She took time to make sure I understood what was involved. The prices she gave me were very good.
Quick And Easy
This is he second time I have used USwitch. Easy and straightforward switch, spoke with an agent who was professional and friendly. Very happy.
Quick, Clear And Intelligent Customer Service
The title says it - very clear and helpful customer service.
The team member knew I had little time to spare and was still able to comprehensively cover all the points involved.
Total Incompetence From Extra Energy
We moved into our new house in February 2015. I emailed and telephoned our details and meter readings to Extra Energy and got an automated response to the email.
A couple of weeks passed and I phoned again to ask for a final bill. I was told one would be in the post shortly. Over 18 months passed and a Final Red letter arrived from them addressed to the previous owner of the house. I passed this on to them and they contacted Extra Energy to have the bill split for energy we had used after moving in.
Months passed then I received a couple of bills for Extra Energy. It is against the "Industry Code of Practice" for an energy company to send out bills if you have asked for the bill and supplied meter readings and it takes them more that 12 months to issue the bill.
I contacted the Energy Ombudsman who took on my case. Their final decision was that the bills were to be written off, a letter of apology was to be issued and compensation was to be paid to me.
They failed to pay the compensation so I went back to the ombudsman, Extra Energy then had to pay the due compensation plus a good will gesture.
You would then think that would be the end of it. How wrong was I...
Extra Energy in their infinite wisdom decided to pass the bills that were written off to a debt collection agency who threatened me with legal action if I didn't pay the bills in full. I have since contacted Extra Energy and asked that someone in upper management to contact me to apologise, I gave them a window of 2 weeks to respond, but actually over 4 weeks has now elapsed and I have heard nothing.
I did inform them that the consequence of not responding would result in negative reviews being left for them and contacting the media.
The good British public need to know about the incompetence of this companies so called "customer service" and management. They sell themselves with good tariffs, but my advice is pay a little extra and stay well clear of this company, you just need to look at the bad press and number of negative reviews they receive.
Here is another to add to their collection!!!
Knocked On My Door, Offered Me Savings,
Absolute waste of my time, knocked on my door, said they could save me money, eventually agreed to change suppliers, my biggest mistake, I am with British gas, I get money back for having both gas and electricity, but the new company only acknowledge the electricity never the gas, there is no difference and I have lost my money back, I am on a very low income, thanks uswitch for nothing, don't knock my door again please, waste of time and space
Saved Over £150
I used them to switch my utility bills. A very simple process and easy to understand. Saved £150 over the year
Figures Given By Uswitch Are Misleading And Incorrect!
Have used u-Switch before without problems but as my current deal for gas and electricity was coming to an end I used u-switch to compare the market and the best option (or so I thought) was with Scottish Power where I was informed I could save over £200 per year.I went ahead with this but when I received confirmation and a start date from Scottish Power, their projections for the coming year were totally different from the figures quoted from u-Switch.Unit rates/Estimated Annual costs/Tariff comparison rates and everything else were all more than u-Switch had quoted me.On ringing Scottish Power I was told that I would have to pay an extra £7 per month to cover my annual cost on this deal (£5 MORE per month than my current deal!).They said the costings used by u-Switch were for customers in the Midlands supply area only, (I live in the Southwest) but surely u-Switch were aware of this as they had used my postcode to generate their comparisons. Can't get through on the phone to u-Switch as yet but I will! Will have to cancel this deal and try somewhere else. Needless to say due to to the above I will not use u-Switch again!
Don't Trust Them
Closed my account 10th dec 2015 with a final reading. I was promised a refund of the access monies ive paid within days thats 8 times now and they're been taking even more out of my bank account. Do yourseleves a good turn don't trade with them.
Painless Process To Shift Utility, But No Changes In Cost
I moved from my incumbent to a new utility provider when Uswitch showed that they were ~35% cheaper than my current deal. While the move was completely painless, I was shocked to receive by my new provider (EON) an email (even before my first payment) saying that they need to increase my direct debit by 50%. Given it was before the 1st month makes be think that the lower rate initially was a gimmick to switch and now I am stuck for 12 months with a higher rate.
No Comparison Without Your Phone Number
For security reasons I do not normally advertise my phone number. When I called uSwitch for a comparison I was told that unless I provided my phone number I would not be given a quote. That's almost rogue traderish. I haven't entered any deal or contract so why is it so importangt that they have my phone number ?
Q&A
Is there a cheaper 'pay-as-you-go' provider than PrePayPower? I find them very expensive, plus as I have a contract with them, would I have to pay for the remainder of the contract? Do Electric Ireland have a similar pre-pay system? Many thanks for any information.
If I get a mobile from uSwitch, and it breaks, who do I send it back to?
the company from whom you purchased it from.
I thought uSwitch just showed you the deals?
