Murphys

Murphys is great stout which I enjoyed during my stay in Cork. it is dark beer whit creamy texture and slight woody after-taste. It is very smooth and easy to drink. served in local irish pubs just full fills atmosphere and can be great with barbecue or pub food. Unlike Guiness it is not heavy. Served in original glass required to settle for a minute. very recommended beer!

Murphys Irish Stout - Without doubt the finest Irish stout, and one of the best in the world. Murphys is brewed in Cork, also famous for Beamish Stout, Paddys Irish Whiskey and Cork Dry Gin. Unlike Guinness, Murphys is very much a local beverage, and can be quite hard to find in other parts of Ireland. In fact, most non-Corkonian stout drinkers have never even tasted it. This is why a lot of them drink Guinness. Nobody in Cork drinks it because it just doesn't compare to Murphys. So, if you come across it anywhere outside Ireland, you can count yourself very fortunate!! Murphys tastes superb, and boasts a really smooth texture. Unlike a lot of other stouts, Murphys goes down very easy, and once you've had one, you can't help but have another one. Murphys is also famous for the fact that it will not give you a headache the following morning if you have over-indulged. What's more, there is a school of thought that Murphys actually improves your mental and verbal ability. However, at this moment in time there is no scientific evidence to substantiate these claims. Clinical trials are ongoing in Cork on a nightly basis. So, if you see Murphys anywhere, have a pint and enjoy!
