Waste Of Time.

We have more than one TV. If we start watching a program using the Roku box in the dining room, stop it, it won't let us continue watching immediately after on the LG TV in the lounge.

It says we are using more than one device.

News for NowTV, we are not! We even tried watching Channel 4 first on the Roku in the lounge, still no joy.

NowTV, your technology sucks worse than a Dyson on steroids! Avoid this useless, pathetic, insulting, technologically backwards broadcaster if at all possible!

This is still happening.

Better Than Expected

I joined NowTV after receiving a free trial from the Monopoly promotion at McDonalds. When you sign up for the free trial they take your card details so be wary of this.

So far the service has been super smooth with no picture or sound buffering. The box sets are nothing special, you can watch these on Netflix or even YouTube.

Might stay after my trial, then subscribe to the football season in August.

Purchased Nowtv From Sainsburys Three Months Entertainment

Installation was difficult and considering there was a pass included I feel a little uneasy about the credit card information passed on to them. Fully installed I now find that the 3 month entertainment pass is actually only for 1 month. I have not had the chance to contact them yet and looking for a legitimate way of ensuring NowTV does not extract payment from my card.

I don't suppose NowTV is any worse than Virgin or Sky or Talk Talk they all seem to look reasonably attractive but manage to hike the charges whenever they wish and this government want to privatise the BBC and its charter??

Has Potential If You Know How

Would i pay £9.99 a month for movies and £6.99 for a few entertainment channels? Of course not, but when you look at some stores sales you can get a now tv box with 3 months entertainment pass or 2 months movie pass for about £15, use the pass then sell the now tv box you dont need and the sales have finished for about £20 making the pass free. At those prices you cant complain.

Supports Chromecast!

We use this company from time to time having cancelled our Sky and we have Virgin but not in our bedrooms therefore this is great and we can cast from our mobile devices to the chromecasts. I recently set the service up on the £1 month trial and it charged me the full £6.99. I used the live chat facility (which could have been easier to find!) but an agent was on hand immediately to help at 10pm then refunded me the full £6.99 and couldn't have been more helpful.

The Now TV service its self is simple to use and reasonable priced.

Worth Buying

I bought one of these for just under £20 and it included 3 months of entertainment pass. I was with Sky and fed up of massive bills all the time. I like that this is prepaid and have watched quite a few things on there. As my bedroom TV wasn't a Smart TV this has given me all the catch up channels on it plus YouTube as I watch a lot of youtube documentaries.

My only critisism would they need more box sets.

Now Tv Has Restrictions

I used to have Sky satelitte and got tired of the costs rising. So when I saw the Now TV package I thought it was good value, until that is when it came to viewing. I got the entertainment pack, which contained Sky Living channel, great I thought, I can watch Criminal Minds. So when I switched the box and and relaxed, then this came up “We’re sorry – unfortunately rights restrictions mean that this programme is not currently available to watch on your device.”. At first I just thought that it was due the fact that I had just activated my account and that it may take up to a few hours for set up. How wrong I was.... Apperently, Now TV are not allowed show some programmes live. These include and not restricted to Criminal Minds, happy Days. The suggestion from Now TV was to ceck up on the forum each day seeing which programmes were blocked on that day. So my adice? Don't buy this junk.

Not Now Tv

When the BBC first released their fantastic iPlayer it was lacking in subtitles, this was because they were the first and had some serious technical learning to undertake. After a year subtitles were on most content.

Now TV is several years in and still no subtitles, showing that Sky are either.

1) Technically incompetent

2) Discriminate against Deaf and hard of hearing.

To claim lack of subtitles would be a lie, technically Netflix and IPlayer bother offer subtitles and Sky TV is great for access.

One can only assume Sky just don't want our business or they don't employ anybody with any coding skill

Poor Picture Quality Now Tv

I think that I have wasted my money on this box. It has a very poor picture quality; it is annoying to watch on a large TV but it’s not too bad on a computer or phone. The only real reason I purchased Now TV box was to use it for BBC I player as all of the different was that I watched it on have stopped providing this service.

All the TV hype on how good this gadget is; I wonder if they have ever really tested it for their selves.

I certainly won’t be renewing my subscription.

I will have to find another way to receive I player!

PS it does not really turn your TV into what I would call a smart TV, Could do with some more TV channels

They Don't Tell You This In The Adverts

I brought Now tv for three reasons one being sky living and programmes like criminal minds. I set it up yesterday sat down to watch criminal minds. Guess what I can't watch it. they actually use criminal minds in their adverts and yet i can't watch it. not only that but it appears in the tv guide on the now box. I'm waiting to see if programmes like bones which they also use and the walking dead which is heavily promoted in their advertising will be there.

i have since found a website which advises you which programmes you can watch on the now tv and considering Now tv are putting the prices up for the entertainment package in october it better be worth it.
