This Magazine Is Utter Rubbish. Their Target Audie

This magazine is utter rubbish. Their target audience ranges from the completely brain dead to the terrifyingly unintelligent (just look at the difficulty ratings for the puzzles) It offers nothing new (as there are a huge number of magazines just like chat out at any one time) and it takes great pleasure in bringing to you the most ridiculous, gorey and generally disgusting stories from all over the world. In addition to these, it also boasts a psychic dog, a very unlikeable editor, a page full of "funny" things reader's husbands have said and lots of pictures of other people's snotty, horrible children.Despite my negativity, I still feel compelled to buy the damn thing every single week, as do many of my intelligent female friends. For this, I truly hate myself.

I Like To Think I'm A Reasonably Intelligent, Well

I like to think I'm a reasonably intelligent, well read young woman so when I came across a copy of Chat magazine at my mums house I instantly dismissed it as another load of trash with about as much intellectually written content as The Hungry Caterpillar. The truth is - as ridiculous as Chat may be; it is also disgustingly appealing and I couldn't put it down until I'd read all of the scandalous true life stories. I can't really go into much more, but some of the stuff you just can't make up. Chat manages to be shockingly repulsive and compelling at the same time. Absolute gold.
