Awful Expereince And Very Embarassing.
Went to Lucy4 for my hen do this Saturday. We are more mature ladies so certainly weren't expecting to dance on the tables or have a riotous time. However we recived no greeting on arrival had food plonked on the table and were left to it it with no ceremony or grace. Left alone in a downstair dark room with nothing except depressing music for company. Only managed to order one round of drinks all night as staff were impossible to find and disinterested. Waited an hour and a half between main course and desserts. Tables set up so staff could not get past so guests had to keep standing up for them and eventually had to squash round one end of the table when that got annoying. Served walnut bread to one guests with a nut allergy which we prewarned about by email when we booked. Fortunately soemone else took a bite first and stopped her eating it. When we did find someone to ask for more drinks we were told the bar was too busy! Put a charge of £36 onto the bill for gratuity which was an outrage and refused to refund it. Horrific experience and as the organiser who chosse this place I was utterly humiliated. Thanks for ruing my hen night Lucy4.

We Took A Walk On Our Holiday In The Lake District
We took a walk on our holiday in the Lake District and ended up wandering around Bowness-on-Windermere hungry but didn't want a full meal. We saw lots of other people swamping the outside of a unusual looking bar and after having a look at the menu went in. Lucy4 is a wine bar and tapas restaurant with small rooms and a kinda kooky feel to it. We ordered homemade tortilla chips with salsa, deep fried calamari, the special of deep fried brie with pineapple chutney plus feta stuffed peppers and chillis. The food was good and there was plenty of it! The brie was my favourite although I wasn't too struck by the chutney. If you're looking for a place to have a few drinks and a light meal between friends then give it a try. We didn't brave the rooftop dining area though as it kept raining!
