I Love This Restaurant, It Is Absolutely The Best

I love this restaurant, it is absolutely the best i've ever been too. amazing food and great service with all staff being really friendly and helpful. it is quite pricey but it is certainly worth it, you won't find chinese food this good elsewhere. i would recommend mulan to anyone and everyone; couples, families with young and older children, big groups and parties, they can accommodate anyone and there is sure to be something for everyone on the menu, it is so varied and everything is delicious! whenever i'm organising a birthday party, date or even just a get together with a few friends i choose mulan, it is without a doubt fantastic.

We Have Eaten In Many Of The High Class Eateries

We have eaten in many of the high class eateries and Michelin star restaurants around the world and can find no fault with Mulan. Staff are welcoming and polite, food is excellent with wonderful choices on the menu, the ambience is friendly yet refined and the wine list offers wine for all tastes and pockets. Cannot see why anyone would complain, we certainly wouldn't.

Quite Surprised By The Review Here To Be Honest, I

Quite surprised by the review here to be honest, I was actually looking for their phone number to orgnise a takeaway due to family commitments. I have eaten in this restaurant many times and ech time I have found the staff and manager to be extrememly helpful, especially as I often have my 3 year old and 1 year old with me, before 7 I might add just in case it puts you off.

The food especially the starters are out of this world. Salt and pepper dishes are to die for. The wine choice is fine the seaweed takes a bit of getting used to but once you have you are addicted.

I dont think you would be dissapointed if you tried this restaurant.

Heard Lots Of Wonderfull Things About This Restaur

Heard lots of wonderfull things about this restaurant, went for the first time last week and was thoroughly dissappointed with the whole experience. Food was sub-standard, unhelpfull waiters with lack enthusiasm and manager just couldnt be bothered. Price was quite high for a very poor performance. Will definately NOT be going back.

Went to Mulan in Morpeth once for lunch - it was awful the worst chinese food i have ever had... Presumably the chef must have gone home as the food served up was dreadful.

The Mulan Restaurant Is Located On The First Floor

The Mulan restaurant is located on the first floor, lift available, of a refurbished building in a simple contemporary design setting. The service is informal and unhurried but nevertheless efficient even if a little reserved. The cuisine is Chinese and leans toward Cantonese style there being very much an emphasis on preserving the natural flavour of the food which is the hallmark of that cuisine. The menu is vast and I found the innovation on many of the dishes to be both fresh and subtle. Outstanding flavour is the stamp of the Mulan kitchen brigade. We were a party of four on a busy Saturday evening service. We had the Banquet (B) comprising crab meat sweetcorn soup, king prawns in spicy salt and pepper, aromatic duck, beef fillet in a tangy Cantonese sauce, chicken in a garlic chilli sauce, fried rice and pork with asparagus and cashew nuts. In summary, delicious Chinese food, tasty and well prepared. The emphasis was on large portions of meat and seafood The only criticism I would make is that the vegetables associated with the Banquet dishes generally were somewhat small portions and more like garnishes. For example, the spring onions and shredded cucumber and even extending to the Hoi Sin sauce were a portion for one person whereas the amount of shredded duck was an amount for four people. There are a number of typical Cantonese vegetable dishes on the menu. Nevertheless, even if you normally skip Chinese restaurants, you should visit Mulan. It's just very, very good.
