Caught Fire, So It Did
Bought my Goodmans G40227DVB tv from Appliances direct UK in June 2016. Two months later there was smoke pouring out of the back when on standby. Contacted Goodmans (very hard to do!) and they said it was nothing to do with them because my model was made on license by Cello. Cello arranged for the TV to be picked up and repaired. Told them I don't want to ever have a potential fire hazard in my home and wanted a refund. Nothing to do with them, I'd have to claim from where it was bought. And so it goes on. But I'll cut my losses and buy another Panasonic or Samsung - anything than a Goodmans! And I'm guaranteed a much better picture, sound and functional remote. Never again, no, never again.

I purchased a Goodmans 58" 4K TV last year and got rid of it within one week. Absolutely appalling. The worst TV I have ever purchased. I will never buy Goodmans again.

My Goodmans TV looks nice, sound quality good. Seem to get shadowing behind the picture constantly, do not know how to make picture clearer. Can you advise us on how to rectify this?? or am i being dumb??

Goodmans Is A Make I Remember From 30 Years Ago As
Goodmans is a make I remember from 30 years ago as I had one of their excellent Hi Fi's. Five years ago I purchased one of their DVD and home cinema systems and it is still going strong. When I decided to go over to digital TV the Goodmans GTV26W took my fancy. I bid £200 on e-bay and a few days later found I had won the auction. £22 extra for delivery was not to over the top it was with Parcel Force whom offer tracking facilities. The TV spent the weekend at their warehouse but after waiting in all day it was delivered at 4.30 on the Monday.
Unboxing the TV found it had a stand easily screwed on to the back. Two AA batteries go in the remote and then you plug it into the aerial and electric. I looked at the tuning guide in the instructions but was to late the TV had started to tune it-self in already and by the time I found the relevant section it was ready to go. All the free view channels are available and built in.
I plugged my DVD in so the cinema sound plays through it. There is no output for the TV to play cinema sound through my system. There is a single socket but it is incompatible with it as it just makes a buzz.
Picture quality is excellent with various changes possible. Overall an excellent product lets hope it is as reliable as my other Goodmans products.
