BT Synergy 4500

Having now tried 3 different types of cordless phones from BT, this one only lasted about a year before starting to play up. As all other reviewers have stated, it doesnt hold a charge, goes blank when a call comes in and resets when you clear a call down. I even work for the company and wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone. I got so frustrated at one point I stomped on the damn thing till it broke into pieces - made me feel better anyway:-). I got thi swhen first launched so wasnt able to check out any reviews at that time.

Poor quality phones, first set I bought I thought I was unlucky the base phone would not charge. Changed batteries followed all instructions but the connectors were no good. Got the same set again, and again after a couple of years phones no longer hold charge regardless of new batteries and quality of batteries. After only half an hour the phones beep and then cut you off. Absolutely dreadful - my advice avoid these phones - see the other reviews for other models- wish I had read those before wasting my money. Am now going to research reliable cordless phones.

This phone (4 handsets) is terrible It was ok for the first few months but now when the phone rings and you pick it up and press a button the phone re-boots. When you try to dial, after pressing 2 to 3 buttons it re-boots. Its happens to all the handsets. You get the message base 1 which makes me think the phone has trouble connecting to the base station. If there was an emergency you could be left unable to call for help. I have replaced the batteries but it hasnt improved. The fault is intermittent but we often run round the house picking up each handset in turn trying to answer a call. I would give it 0 stars if I could

This phone has increased my stress levels through the roof. It is the worst phone i have ever had and wish id never bought it and wasted my money! When you pick up an incoming call it doesnt work and it just beeps at you or flashes up base 1 (even when batterys are new). Most times when you pick it up from the cradle it wont get a dial tone and again just beeps (have no idea why its started doing this) ...it really is a total waste of time and realy makes me think i wont be wasting my money on another Bt phone incase i get something as bad as this. do NOT buy!!!!

I have had exactly the same experience on the BT Synergy 400 Trio as one of the other users. The phone incredibly switches off as you try to pick it up, and at times switches off while on the phone irrespective of which of the phones you pick up. I checked that each of the units had battery power which they had. I find this extraordinary in this day and age to get the basics so wrong. I thought I had not set the phones up correctly, however this is not the case. I would be embarrassed if I were in any way associated with this product. People rely on BT for products that work properly even if they are priced a little higher than other competitors. This product lets the brand down...badly or is this just a sign of the times? I am buying a new unit right now but wanted to let other prospective buyers know how awful this product is.

Total RUBBISH (See Amazon reviews). Dont waste your money. Handsets constantly switch off in use then back on again losing calls. Remote handsets mostly dont recognise the base unit. Battery life is very poor. Constant beeps. Often loses call on pick-up. This review is based on TWO sets of these phones - both behaved the same. Would give them a -5 if I could. Only gave them a 1 star as I could give them any less!

Just after the warranty expired my BT Synergy 4500 became a nightmare. when you try to answer it or make a call it switches itself off. Its incredibly annoying. Its the worst piece of tat Ive ever wasted money on. I will complain to BT about this bad product. Then buy a different brand
