Hannspree Do Not Buy
I can echo the comments from the previous review, both Ideal World and Hannspree customer service has been abysmal. In Oct 14 I bought the tablet. It stopped working August 15. I was asked to return for a repair that would take 7 to 10 days. I had to chase repeatedly for an update. Eventually I was told the machine could not be repaired and I would have one sent to me, but are out of stock and it had to come from Germany. Meanwhile Ideal World has stock as they were selling it on their website. I chased again - no one seemed prepared to offer a refund. Hannspree said it was up to Ideal World, Idea World said Hannspree. After a lot of complaining I was sent a machine - damaged with a watermark, clearly someone's cast off and re-conditioned (but not successfully) I was then then asked to return the tablet to Ideal World after further complaints and thought a new tablet would be sent. But no! yesterday I was informed it was being sent for repair.
Dont Waste Your Money!
Bought this 10.1" tablet with quad core technology whilst was supposedly on offer before Christmas-say this as I have never ever seen this at its supposed full price and wonder if it was ever aired at 'full price'. Was delivered in good time but doesnt come with any start up instructions etc but not a problem. Wanted to take this on holiday to take pictures and skype as well as check emails and watch catch up tv. Generally v slow and unsesponsive and also prone to freezing. Has had to have a few factory resets which is not convenient. Discover in June when I go to take pics to post on Ebay that the camera doesnt work nor will it work with Sky go, 4 OD or new Lloyds bank app. Appreciate these are 'apps' , but according to the specs has the technology the same as leading brands so must be a fault somewhere! Discover that Hannspree aware of these issues months before-info on their Facebook page yet still being promoted on TV! Unable to have meaningful conversation with anyone in UK at Ideal - emailed every name I could find on here and received NO bouncebacks! Also tried every phone number I could and got a person who said to write a letter-did so requesting response within 14 days and even though this was sent Recorded Delivery, have not had the decency of a reply despite stating that as product well within its 2 year warranty I would like a full refund, I have had no option other than to now make all aware of the abysmal customer service especially as on the Hannspree site, they do say claims for refunds under warranty should be directed to the retailer so cannot understand why Ideal is refusing this as these faults/issues were known to them and Hannspree within about 3 months of my purchase let alone others.
