Really Love This Item. It Makes Life So Easy

Really love this item.

It makes life so easy and I would recommend it to all my friends but I am not sure if they would like it too. Maybe they would though - I think they would. But who knows?

I bought mine from http://www.comet.co.uk

I've Had This Mouse Now For 6 Months, And Owned Ot

I've had this mouse now for 6 months, and owned other gaming orientated mice before it.

I am an avid gamer, and have done many long gaming stints on this mouse and others.

The mouse is wired, with an armored cable, that should last a while.

The best bit about this mouse is ability to switch between 5 levels of DPI sensitivity, via a rocker-switch on the mouse itself.

You can do this 'in-game' in real-time, which makes the mouse great for switching between 'highly sensitive' - for controlling unwieldy things like tanks. Or 'very lo sensitivity', for things like sniping.

This feature alone makes the mouse worthwhile for gamers.

You can setup the mouse to recognise the game you re currently playing, and re-configure the sensitivity levels, to your taste, for that specific game. Very cool!

- That said, it could still do with the option to be 'less sensitive' (for sniping) and 'more sensitive'. (for more 'unwieldy' vehicles etc.).

The mouse has interchangeable grips, to cater to your taste - though these really seem more of a gimic than being truly useful.

It also has a software based macro, facility, though this quite confusing.

I must also finally state that while it is fine for gaming, its odd shape is a bit uncomfortable for normal use.

When I ought it, it was about £70. A great mouse, but very expensive.

Pro's: Adjustable sensitivity on a per game basis

Good build quality and design

Fancy Macro's - if you can figure them out.

Con's: Expensive

Not enough sensitivity levels

You have to have this mouse wired, rather than wireles.

A Few Months Ago My Ol' Microsoft Millenium Laser

A few months ago my ol' Microsoft Millenium laser mouse finally gave up the ghost after eight years of contuinuous abuse, and I decided it was time for something a bit more suited for my gaming needs! The G9 has just about the most interestingly irritating packaging ever concieved by man, it'll make you pull your hair out in chunks. With it's vacuum-sealed plastic-clamped casing (which, by the way, could rival most fallout shelters) come a set sof small ultra-powerful magnets holding the innards together in what is essentially a magnetic bear trap. The mouse though, I'm more than happy to report, is an utter delight to use. This is definitely a grip aimed more towards the fingertip-gamers than the full-palm web browsers, as is obvious by its unconventional design, but even with my oddly proportioned mits it feels snug and secure. The larger of the two interchangeable grips has a particulalrly comfy sort of plastic love-handle to rest your thumb on, and the plastic grips but doesn't make your hands sore like it's malformed twin. One out of two is certainly alright though, as undoubtedly, if you're a super-elite FPS player you'll need the second grip's knobbly finish and side 'vents' just to look especially awesome for all your LAN-party buddies. Both main buttons are responsive, producing satisfying clicks, and the mousewheel is a particular favourite of mine, an independent gear meaning you can set it to free wheel, essentially turning it into a scrolling flywheel. My only gripe concerning this is the third button function of the wheel, it's incredibly difficult to press donw! Admittedly, you get used to it after a few weeks, and since purchase, it's definitely softened up, but it's certainly something to watch out for.The mose as a pointer is exceptional, 3600dpi is quite remarkable, and it's a difference you'll notice, especially when like me, changing from an ordinary ships-with-the-PC model. You can flick through four customisable sensitivity functions with a handy button located beneath the right mouse button, and the mouse can store five seperate profiles, all colour coded to your specification, on the mouse. This also includes macro binding and creation, Logitech's software simple and easy to use.The two side buttons are especially useful for custom mappings, as multiple keystrokes can be bound in sequence to one button. So far, the mouse has lasted me about four months with no sign of decay or damage and the teflon-hybrid pads on the base look as though they've just come out of the box. For anybody with galactic ambitions of gaming glory, this is an absolute must have!
